“Wedding Scene” – Mardi Gras feted in Paris,1952

Keeping up with the ancient tradition, eight young women from a Paris watchstrap factory today dressed up in costumes and masks and paraded from the Rue Du Temple to the Place De La Republique in the french capital. ” Dressing up” for Mardi Gras used to be an annual event in Paris, and though it is seldom carried out anymore, these young women were apparently determined to keep up the custom, much to the delight of the passers-by.
